The lab uses the Cisco 3725 routers. If you want to use other routers the configuration should
work also. Please make sure you have the same interfaces in your simulated router. You need an
NM-16ESW module in your switch, so not all models are supported.
The lab has three routers connected via the Fastethernet Interface FE0/0 to switch 1. Each router has a loopback address configured. You can ping the three routers.
This is the so called "router on a stick" scenario. R3 has a trunk connection to the switch. R1 is in VLAN 100, R2 in VLAN 101 and R3 has got IP numbers from both VLANs on its FastEthernet subinterfaces. This lab is the start for a series of tutorials on routing with different routing protocols.
