Configuration 3 Routers Ethernet Back to Back
Basic IP Configuration
This configuration shows how to configure OSPF with areas. One area is the backbone area, or area 0. All other areas need a direct connection to area 0. The router who connects the two areas is the area border router (ABR).
The router ID is either taken from the highest loopback interface or manually configured. If you do not configure it manually you have the risk of a changing router ID. This could be problematic with virtual links.
